THE CODA STYLE

Electric strings and African vocals are showcased against a backdrop of exhilarating live sampling to create pure musical magic on stage. Ear catching rhythms and harmonies are blended with the gorgeous tone of the strings and Yolanda’s sultry voice. Bringing together the old or ‘traditional’ and the new, CODA breaks new ground by combining influences of Africa music with futuristic electric string sound and DJ.

THE CODA SHOW

The 60 minute show includes:

1. Upbeat, virtuoso repertoire that showcases the skill and talent of the performers
2. New original works in the genre of Buddha Bar and Café Del Mar
3. Ambient music that explores the depth and range of the electric cello, violin and vocals in collaboration with live sampling / DJ building from serene to dance (and a spectrum of styles in between)

Coda also offers an additional 1 hour DJ set (repertoire chosen specifically for the event) after the electric ‘string and song’ show.
