FLAT STANLEY SIGNS MULTI MILLION RAND INTERNATIONAL DEAL

The time for Flat Stanley’s International leap has arrived. The band has just signed a multi-territory album licensing deal with German based record label iMusic Records!

It all started after an unplugged show at the Green Dolphin in 2007 and eighteen months later Flat Stanley signed a deal with iMusic Records. They will release their SAMA-nominated second album ‘Between 2wo Worlds’ in Europe early 2009; first in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a staggered rollout into the rest of the Europe and Russia over the following months. iMusic Records have guaranteed a minimum marketing spend of 1 million Euros for the album release!

The band will be in Frankfurt at the end of November, as they’ll be busy with radio and TV interviews, promo shoots, marketing activities, meeting international booking agents and promoters and, of course, a few unplugged showcase gigs. They’ll also be working out a European touring schedule for 2009.

All in all, it’s been a phenomenal year for Flat Stanley. Their 2007 release ‘Between 2wo Worlds’ was nominated for a MTN SAMA, they toured with Counting Crows, had four consecutive radio singles play-listed, enjoyed huge chart success, played Joburg Day and will be performing at Levi's® Rage for The Revolution on the 8th of November.
